Sarah has an enxtensive background in the accounting industry with over 15 years managing relationships with accounting practices through Qld and NT. 

Sarah was brought into Vincents to re-vamp the longstanding VIN-link network. Since joining she has created a wholistic digital offering for the members and taken the memberships to over 1200. 

Jon Dooley

Forensic Services Director and Executive Chairman, Vincents

With over 28 years experience in forensic accounting, Jonathan is considered a pioneer in the field. His financial analysis and investigative skills have allowed him to work on a diverse range of matters involving; commercial disputes, insurance litigation, financial crime, insolvency litigation, turnaround and reconstruction, solvency reports and financial, vendor and purchaser due diligence.

Jonathan is regularly called upon to provide expert witness testimony in the District and Supreme Courts of Queensland, the Supreme Court of NSW and the Federal Court of Australia.

Michael Knox

Chief Economist and Director of Strategy, Morgans

Michael was an Australian Trade Commissioner serving in Saudi Arabia and Indonesia.  He joined Morgans in Sydney in 1988.  He was Chief Institutional Options Dealer until moving to Brisbane in 1990 as Economist and Strategist.  He joined the Board of Morgans Stockbroking in 1996. He became Director of Strategy and Chief Economist in 1998. Michael remained on the Board of Morgans until 2011.


Michael has served on many Queensland Government advisory committees.  He was Chairman of the Queensland Food Industry Strategy Committee in 1992, a Member of the Consultative Committee of the Ipswich Development Board in 1993, a Member of the Queensland Tourism Strategy Committee in 1994 and a Member of the Ministerial Advisory Committee on Economic Development in 1997.   From 2003 to 2012, he was Chairman of the Advisory Committee of School of Economics and Finance at the Queensland University of Technology.  He has been a Governor of the American Chamber of Commerce from 1997 to 2007.  In 2008, Michael joined the Board of The City of Brisbane Investment Corporation Pty Ltd.  Michael remained on the Board until 2016. Michael joined the Board of Collection House in 2017. Michael was the President of the Economic Society of Australia (Qld) Inc from 2009 to 2013. 

Brett Griffiths

Superannuation Advisory Director, Vincents

Brett specialises in all aspects of superannuation compliance including retirement savings accounts, large retail superannuation funds and more specifically Self Managed Superannuation Funds. His expertise includes superannuation strategies to achieve the best outcome for the client and reviewing investment structures to ensure legislative compliance.

Mailene Wheeler

Superannuation Advisory Director, Vincents

Mailene is a Director in Superannuation Advisory and specialises in all aspects of Self Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs). Her expertise includes taxation and administration of SMSFs, retirement planning, contribution strategies, limited recourse borrowing arrangements and reviewing investment structures to ensure legislative compliance.

Kim Reynolds

Taxation Advisory Director, Vincents

Kim is a director in our Taxation Advisory unit and provides specialist tax advice principally in the areas of income tax, CGT and GST, as they apply to privately held family groups, and high net worth individuals.

Kim has a particular interest in helping clients deal with business restructures, family succession, estate planning and assisting clients and their legal advisers in understanding the taxation issues related to family law and dispute matters (expert reports).

Peter Haley

Forensic Services Director and Business Valuations Specialist, Vincents

Peter has over 35 years of accounting and business analysis experience.  Since joining Vincents in 2001 Peter has specialised in forensic accounting and litigation support, with a particular focus in the areas of family, commercial and estate litigation.

Peter’s central focus is the examination and valuation of both simple and complex businesses and structures.  Peter also excels at clearly communicating his findings in both expert reports and in the delivery of expert evidence.

Peter has prepared and submitted forensic accounting reports as expert evidence and appeared to give evidence in the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Magistrates Court of Queensland, District Court of Queensland, Supreme Court of Queensland, Supreme Court of New South Wales, Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory, Federal Circuit Court of Australia, Family Court of Australia, Federal Court of Australia, National Court of Justice, Papua New Guinea and High Court of New Zealand.

John Thynne

Forensic Services Director and Business Valuations Specialist, Vincents

John has over 23 years’ business analysis and commercial experience that he relies upon in investigating financial matters and providing reports in relation to commercial and family disputes, business valuations, assessment of damages and professional negligence matters.

John previously held a business analyst role for an international finance company. He has worked in commerce and also operated his own forensic accounting firm before joining Vincents in July 2004.

John’s experience has led him to develop an approach to consider the key quantification and investigative issues when analysing situations and preparing reports.

As a mediator, John is often called upon as a neutral party to provide advice in alternative resolution matters. He has also developed an interactive process to deliver his single expert valuation engagements that allows parties to ‘buy-in’ to the process and result as opposed to encouraging further conflict (CDR).

Steven Staatz

Insolvency and Reconstruction Director, Vincents

Steven has extensive experience in liquidations (voluntary and involuntary), administrations (voluntary and receivership administrations) and has administered numerous personal bankruptcies. Steven also provides expert turnaround, reconstruction and corproate recovery services.

Steven has experience across a broad range of industries including: building and construction, retail and property / real estate, film & television, professional services, transport, hospitality, leisure, managed investment schemes and manufacturing.

Ashley Leslie

Insolvency and Reconstruction Director, Vincents

Ashley is an insolvency practitioner with over 15 years’ insolvency experience, specialising in both corporate and personal insolvencies.Ashley has a diverse range of experience which includes corporate accounting, information technology, corporate reconstruction and insolvency and investment scheme wind-ups.  She has a holistic approach to solving complex problems in a diverse range of businesses and is well respected for her attention to detail.

Michael McDonnell

Principal, Results Legal

Michael is a Principal of Results Legal, a Brisbane based firm specialising in commercial dispute resolution and insolvency.
With over 15 years’ experience, Michael leads the Commercial Litigation and Insolvency team. Michael and his team provide specialist advice to clients on a broad range of contentious and complex commercial disputes and insolvency law matters for a variety of clients encompassing corporates, professional services, insolvency practitioners, banks and other credit providers.
